After the success and popularity of leading the Hayes Carnival Parade in 2016 (see picture with the Green Elephant !), Jay Kumar and DanceAsia once again were invited to lead the Parade in 2017 which this year was held on Saturday 8th July in Hayes Town Centre.
Along with Jay’s student dance team (The Jai Ho’s), Jay Kumar provided almost 20 dancers in a variety of colourful outfits and colourful ethnic umbrellas in the parade, as well as an open-top car that was decorated with colourful sarees and flowers and pumping out top Bollywood tunes for the dancers to show off their dance moves. As the parade moved along the route, many locals came out of their houses to watch and enjoy the music and dancing and some even joined in the dancing. There were plenty of happy smiling faces along the route.
The parade route was from Botwell Green Leisure Centre in Hayes Town Centre to Barra Hall Park where there was a stage for entertainment. Jay Kumar and DanceAsia performed a set as they arrived close to the Stage with the Lord Mayor of Hayes joining in the fun ! Jay Kumar then also did his trademark Dance With Jay Kumar fun interactive session which had many of the good people of Hayes joining in.
